City Officer's General Election - May 1, 2021

Election day is May 1, 2021, 7AM to 7PM at the EMS building on 109 3rd Street, Bovina, Texas.

Important Dates
January 13, 2021 First day for filing application for place on ballot.
February 12, 2021 Last day to file application for place on ballot (Application must be received by 5:00 PM on this date).
February 16, 2021 Last day for a write-in candidate to declare candidacy (Must be received in writing before 5:00 PM).
February 19, 2021 Last day for a candidate to withdraw (Must be received in writing by 5:00 PM).
February 23, 2021 Drawing for place on ballot at 10:00 AM at City Hall, 205 North Street (Date subject to change; All candidates will be notified if change is made).
March 17, 2021 First day to mail applications for ballots to be voted by mail.
April 1, 2021 Last day to register to vote, in order to be able to vote in the May 1st Election. 1st Report of Candidate/Officeholder Campaign Finance Report due.
April 16, 2021 Last day to accept application by mail for a ballot to be voted by mail. (Received, not Postmarked)
April 19th, 2021 Early voting by personal appearance begins at City Hall from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
April 21, 2021 Last day to publish notice of election in the Stateline Tribune.
April 22 & 27, 2021 Extended hours for early voting will be from 7 AM to 7 PM at City Hall.
April 27, 2021 Last day to vote early by personal appearance (7 AM to 7 PM at Bovina
May 1, 2021 ***ELECTION DAY*** 7:00 AM TO 7:00 PM. EMS BUILDING, 109 3RD ST. BOVINA, TEXAS.
May 4-12, 2021 Official canvass of returns and oaths of office by newly elected officers (Date subject to change; All candidates will be notified if change is made).
